Despite the big changes in DC Comics everyone’s favorite, Gal Gadot is keeping the hope for a \u201cWonder Woman 3\u201d alive. The actress told private media outlets\u00a0that she is under the impression that she will be collaborating on another Wonder Woman project with DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran.<\/p>\n

Gadot said when asked about the third movie,<\/p>\n

I love portraying Wonder Woman. It\u2019s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we\u2019re gonna develop a \u2018Wonder Woman 3\u2019 together.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Gal originated the role of Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder\u2019s DC Universe, debuting in \u201cBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice\u201d before leading her own two standalone films: \u201cWonder Woman\u201d and \u201cWonder Woman 1984.\u201d Gadot\u2019s Wonder Woman also appeared in \u201cJustice League\u201d and had cameos in DC films such as \u201cShazam! Fury of the Gods.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her two standalone \u201cWonder Woman\u201d films were directed by Patty Jenkins. The two were developing \u201cWonder Woman 3\u201d together when Gunn and Safran were named the new heads of DC Studios.<\/p>\n\t\t

Safran and Gunn\u2019s new DC Universe is kicking off with \u201cSuperman: Legacy\u201d in 2025. The film is written and will be directed by Gunn, who announced last month that David Corenswet is taking on the role of Superman in the new DC Universe. Corenswet takes over the role following Henry Cavill, who played Superman opposite Gadot\u2019s Wonder Woman in several films.<\/p>\n

Gadot is soon going to appear on screen in the upcoming thriller film, Heart of Stone. She plays the role of spy Rachel Stone.\u00a0According to the synopsis, “Rachel Stone is an intelligence operative, the only woman who stands between her powerful global peacekeeping organization and the loss of its most valuable — and dangerous — asset.”<\/p>\n

In addition to Gadot,\u00a0Heart of Stone\u00a0stars Jamie Dornan and Alia Bhatt.\u00a0Heart of Stone\u00a0debuts on Netflix on August 11th.<\/p>\n
