After Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’s unexpected divorce, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Jackman separated after 27 years of marriage.<\/p>\n

The couple say in a statement,<\/p>\n

We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It continued, “We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives. This is the sole statement either of us will make.”<\/p>\n

Hugh, 54, and\u00a0Deborra-Lee, 67, met on the set of the Australian TV series\u00a0Corelli<\/em> in 1995 and were married a year later, in April 1996. The Aussie pair, who share two kids, Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18, have been married for 27 years.<\/p>\n

To celebrate\u00a0their anniversary last year, the Wolverine star even made an Instagram post dedicated to her, writing, “Today I celebrate 26 years of marriage to my extraordinary wife. Every single day is filled with so much laughter, joy, and backgammon!!!! Deb, you light up my life. I love you with all my heart!”<\/p>\n

Earlier this summer, the two were spotted at a\u00a0Pink concert\u00a0in London in a rare public appearance. They were all smiles and holding hands. In one of the photos, he’d placed his hand on her shoulder as he grinned towards the camera.<\/p>\n

Their last red carpet appearance was at the Met Gala on May 1, and in July,\u00a0they attended the men\u2019s finals at Wimbledon.<\/p>\n
