Aegon’s Conquest serves as a direct forerunner to the popular television series House of the Dragon. Aegon\u2019s Conquest is a direct prequel to the hit House of the Dragon, telling the story of the Targaryen\u2019s bloody and brutal conquest of Westeros.<\/p>\n
The story follows the invader Aegon Targaryen, who conquered the continent of Westeros with his sister’s wives, Rhaenys and Visenya, and their dragons. Aegon successfully unified six of the Seven Kingdoms in just two years, with only Dorne able to resist.<\/p>\n Since the main Game Of Thrones series concluded in 2019, various prequels (and one sequel idea) have been put into development, although some are considered no longer active.<\/p>\n So far, the franchise has only greenlit two additional series: House Of The Dragon, which will debut its second season this summer, and A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, which starts production this year and is based on Martin\u2019s Dunk And Egg novellas.<\/p>\n Hot on the heels of the successful House of the Dragon, HBO is further expanding the Game of Thrones universe with another prequel series.
