Some are calling it an \u201cabsolute blast,\u201d while others feel it\u2019s \u201cslightly empty.\u201d Let\u2019s dive into the buzz surrounding Anthony Mackie\u2019s debut as the lead in a Marvel movie.<\/p>\n\t\t

Herb Scribner from the Washington Post couldn\u2019t contain his excitement, taking to social media to declare the film an \u201cabsolute blast.\u201d He praised its cohesive storytelling, saying it felt like an MCU movie where other projects actually matter again.<\/p>\n

Scribner\u2019s enthusiasm was echoed by entertainment writer Chris Gallardo, who lauded Mackie\u2019s performance, stating, \u201cAnthony Mackie has RIGHTFULLY EARNED the role of Captain America.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the flip side, film critic Cris Parker wasn\u2019t as impressed. While he appreciated Mackie\u2019s portrayal and the film\u2019s serious tone, he felt it didn\u2019t quite hit the emotional highs he was hoping for. Emmanuel Noisette shared a similar sentiment, describing the film as \u201cgrounded, entertaining, and to the point,\u201d but noted it pulled a lot of political punches.<\/p>\n

In Captain America: Brave New World<\/em>, Sam Wilson, played by Mackie, must put aside his differences with U.S. President Thaddeus \u201cThunderbolt\u201d Ross, portrayed by Harrison Ford, to tackle a conspiracy tied to an assassination attempt and the global battle for adamantium.<\/p>\n

The film also stars Danny Ramirez as the new Falcon, Giancarlo Esposito as the villain Sidewinder, and Shira Haas as U.S. government agent Sabra.<\/p>\n

Jazz Tangcay urged fans to see the film on the biggest screen possible, praising Mackie\u2019s performance and the film\u2019s score. Meanwhile, Marc Malkin expressed his newfound love for the duo of Mackie and Ramirez, joking about needing to work out for a Red Hulk Halloween costume.<\/p>\n

However, not all reviews were glowing. John Flickinger found the film \u201cclunky\u201d and \u201canticlimactic,\u201d criticizing its safe approach as the 35th film in the MCU. Brittany Patrice felt the film didn\u2019t capitalize on its strengths, leaving her underwhelmed.<\/p>\n\t\t
