Pakistan’s trending diva, Mawra Hocane<\/a> is basking in the glow of newfound success for her 2016 film Sanam Teri Kasam<\/em><\/a>, nearly a decade after its initial release.<\/p>\n

The romantic drama, which once flopped at the box office, has recently shattered records following its re-release in India, and Mawra attributes this unexpected resurgence to a rather charming source: her husband, Ameer Gilani.<\/p>\n\t\t

In a candid chat with Faridoon Shahryar, Mawra Hocane reflected on the rollercoaster journey of Sanam Teri Kasam<\/em>, revealing that the film’s initial failure left her questioning her acting abilities. \u201c<\/p>\n

When something you exhaust yourself working on doesn\u2019t succeed, it\u2019s heartbreaking,\u201d she admitted, recalling her time in India at just 22 years old, far from her family. \u201cI really thought the actor in me had died,\u201d she confessed.<\/p>\n

But now, with the film\u2019s re-release coinciding with her marriage, Mawra Hocane believes that her husband has brought a stroke of marital luck. \u201cTo be honest, if the film waited nine years to do these numbers, then it\u2019s my husband bringing in the luck because the only thing that has changed is that,\u201d she quipped.<\/p>\n\t\t

Reflecting on her role as Saru, Mawra Hocane credited the film\u2019s success to teamwork and the collective effort of the cast and crew. \u201cMy job was to be on set on time, be focused, and absorb as much as I could. The rest of everything that has happened, I didn\u2019t do it. The universe did it. It was magic,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
