New kit, same old sh*t… Our talented lads got humbled in the very first game of the all-important Champions Trophy. As hosts, we certainly did our usual “mehman-nawazi,” <\/em>giving not one but two Kiwi batters centuries, while also giving their bowlers and fielders some highlight moments (i.e Glenn Philip’s jaw-dropping catch.)<\/p>\n

As is tradition, Pakistan\u2019s loss became meme fodder for fans. One viral meme showed Babar\u2019s face morphed onto Chahat Fateh Ali Khan with the caption, \u201cBarbad Fateh Khan sb.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Another meme questioned whether Pakistan was playing an ODI or a Test match, poking fun at the team\u2019s inability to keep up with the required run rate.<\/p>\n

\u2018Selfish Babar Azam\u2019 and Fan Outrage<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As the dust settled, fans took to social media to vent their frustration, with many targeting Babar Azam\u2019s leadership and approach.<\/p>\n

One fan bluntly wrote, \u201cBabar Azam played for New Zealand.\u201d Another added, \u201cSuccessfully wasted two hours watching Pakistan\u2019s batting only to end up with nothing but depression. I\u2019m done with this fraud team, especially with Babar.\u201d<\/p>\n
