Model and actress Nadia Hussain Khan<\/a> has clarified that she never intended to disrespect or humiliate any Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) official while attempting to expose a scammer impersonating one.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the media on Monday after appearing before a Karachi court, Nadia Hussain said her sole aim was to bring the scammer to justice.<\/p>\n\t\t

The controversy began when Hussain shared details of a man impersonating an FIA official who allegedly tried to extort Rs30 million from her, promising to help secure bail for her husband, Atif Muhammad Khan<\/a>. Khan was arrested by the FIA on March 8 in an embezzlement case filed by the company\u2019s board of directors.<\/p>\n

Hussain took to Instagram last week to share videos detailing the scam, claiming the impersonator had contacted her during her husband\u2019s custody. However, the FIA has since initiated an inquiry against Hussain for making \u201cbaseless allegations\u201d against its officials.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy intention was always to highlight the scam, not to disrespect anyone,\u201d Hussain told reporters. \u201cScammers like these cannot go scot-free. I want justice, not just for myself but for others who might fall into such traps.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hussain said she had recorded the scammer\u2019s calls as evidence and was fully cooperating with the FIA\u2019s cybercrime department. \u201cIf they need my phone for forensics, I am ready to cooperate. My intention was never to hurt anyone but to expose this scam,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

She also urged the public to report such incidents immediately. \u201cIf you get such calls, don\u2019t panic. File a complaint on the FIA portal and, if needed, visit the department physically. I didn\u2019t know this before, but now I\u2019ve learned that online complaints alone may not be enough.\u201d<\/p>\n\t\t

Hussain also questioned how her family\u2019s phone numbers were accessed, stating she would approach Nadra for answers. However, Nadra clarified on Monday that it does not maintain a database of mobile numbers, focusing solely on managing national identity records.<\/p>\n
