India\u2019s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially closed the high-profile case surrounding the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput<\/a>, ruling out any foul play after nearly five years of investigation.<\/p>\n

The CBI filed closure reports in both cases linked to Rajput\u2019s death, bringing the long saga one step closer to a legal conclusion.<\/p>\n\t\t

The final reports submitted to a special court in Patna and a Mumbai court concluded that there was no evidence of external pressure or criminal conspiracy involved in Rajput\u2019s tragic demise. The investigation had been a whirlwind of speculation, conspiracy theories, and media frenzy since Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14, 2020.<\/p>\n

The first case was initiated by Rajput\u2019s father, K K Singh, who accused Rhea Chakraborty, the actor\u2019s girlfriend at the time, of abetment to suicide and financial misconduct. In a twist, Chakraborty herself filed a counter-case alleging that Rajput\u2019s sister was involved in medical malpractice. However, the CBI has reportedly cleared Chakraborty and her family of any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n

The CBI\u2019s findings align with the forensic report from AIIMS, which dismissed theories of strangulation or poisoning. Sushant Singh Rajput\u2019s postmortem examination confirmed that the cause of death was asphyxia due to hanging, putting to rest many of the wild theories that had circulated.<\/p>\n

Chakraborty\u2019s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, expressed relief and gratitude, stating, \u201cWe are grateful to the CBI for having thoroughly investigated every aspect of the case from all angles and closed the case.\u201d<\/p>\n\t\t
