In a moment straight out of a Bollywood action film, King Charles III and Queen Camilla were welcomed to the Commonwealth Day ceremony at Westminster Abbey with the iconic “Dhoom<\/em>\u00a0Machale”<\/em>\u00a0 tune from the 2004 Bollywood blockbuster Dhoom<\/em>.<\/p>\n\t\t

The performance, delivered by the Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band, a Hindu Scottish pipe band based in North-West London, left attendees and social media users confused and laughing out loud.<\/p>\n\n

The video of the performance, shared by the band on Instagram, quickly went viral, sparking a flood of memes and jokes online. One user quipped, \u201cIs this the Commonwealth or the opening scene of Dhoom 4<\/em><\/a>?\u201d Another joked, \u201cWaiting for Camilla to remove reveal that’s she is actually Hrithik Roshan in disguise.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band, known for blending Indian and Scottish traditions, has a history of performing at royal events. They called the performance a celebration of unity and culture, but let\u2019s be honest\u2014no one expected Dhoom Machale<\/em> to be the soundtrack for King Charles\u2019 grand entrance.<\/p>\n\t\t
