US President Donald Trump wants to make “Hollywood great again,” declaring that movies made outside the United States will soon be slapped with a massive 100% tariff if they want to enter the American market.<\/p>\n\t\t
The President claims the Hollywood industry is \u201cdying a very fast death\u201d and blames foreign countries for luring away filmmakers. He even called it a \u201cNational Security threat,\u201d warning that foreign films are spreading \u201cmessaging and propaganda.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump made his message his Truth Social platform clear :<\/p>\n

The details are still murky. Trump hasn\u2019t said if the new tax will hit American studios filming abroad\u2014a common Hollywood trick to save money. Recent blockbusters like Deadpool & Wolverine<\/em><\/a>, Wicked<\/em>, and Gladiator II<\/em> were all shot outside the US.<\/p>\n
Trump\u2019s trade war has already rattled the world economy, with prices soaring and countries like China hitting back with their own tariffs. The movie business is just the latest battleground.
