Usman Javed is the son of Javed Shafi and the grandson of Mian Javed Shafi, who is a first cousin and close confidante of Nawaz Sharif. The engagement further strengthens ties between two prominent branches of the Sharif family. The nikah ceremony is expected to take place in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
This marks Junaid Safdar\u2019s second marriage. He was previously married to Ayesha Saif, daughter of Qatar-based industrialist Saifur Rahman Khan. The couple divorced in October 2023<\/a>, two years after their wedding in London. According to Ayesha Saif, one of the reasons why her marriage did not last long was due to the controlling nature of her mother-in-law, Maryam Nawaz.<\/p>\n\t\t Junaid Safdar, a Cambridge graduate, holds two master\u2019s and two bachelor\u2019s degrees from UK universities, including a master\u2019s in International Relations from the London School of Economics and another in Global Governance and Ethics from University College London.
