LAHORE: A delegation from the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) met with Commissioner Lahore\/LDA DG Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Friday to discuss building and zoning regulations in Lahore and private housing schemes.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, ABAD leaders shared their suggestions for improving the rules, emphasizing the need for user-friendly regulations that benefit both the real estate sector and citizens.<\/p>\n
They highlighted the significant role of the construction sector in generating employment opportunities and stimulating the overall economic cycle of society, with over 50 associated industries.<\/p>\n
As a result of the meeting, it was agreed that the private sector would collaborate with the government to enhance the beauty of the provincial capital.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, a working group will also be established to jointly evaluate the proposals put forth by ABAD members.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the meeting included discussions on setting up a monitoring mechanism to ensure better facilities for residents living in private housing societies.<\/p>\n
Besides, the commissioner expressed his commitment to improving laws by incorporating the experience and expertise of the private sector, aiming to create a favorable environment for businesses and citizens.<\/p>\n
The meeting was attended by prominent social workers Gohar Ijaz, Lesco Chairman Hafiz Nauman, Chairman of the North Region ABAD Sultan Gohar, Secretary ABAD Kamran Shuja, and other officials.<\/p>\n
