The four-acre land that was formerly held by a poultry producer and was once a suburban area now nestled between burgeoning new developments in KDA Scheme 33.<\/p>\n
Sources at the real estate agencies revealed that the previous owner, a seasoned businessman and past head of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, detected the evil intentions of a “powerful system” building up and sold the land at a fair price before walking away.<\/p>\n\n
However, reports claim that representatives of the Sindh Board of Revenue have been threatening the new landowners to evacuate by sending out a team from the Anti-Encroachment Department.<\/p>\n
The Revenue Board, Deputy Commissioner, and police were designated respondents in a petition that the owners filed in\u00a0the Sindh High Court (SHC). On August 11, the SHC granted a restraining order and summoned all parties.<\/p>\n
According to sources, government agents disobeyed court orders and entered the home on the evening of August 6. The fact that they committed the crime on a day off for Ashura suggests that they were trying to avoid being held accountable.<\/p>\n
