The Sindh High Court ordered the Deputy Commissioner of District East to submit a compliance report regarding the failure to remove encroachments in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar.<\/p>\n
A division bench led by Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi took notice of the concerned authorities to remove encroachments despite court orders while hearing an application from allottees from KDA block 6 regarding non-compliance with a court order.<\/p>\n\n
The provincial law officer was asked by the court what steps had been taken to clear the KDA land of the encroachments.<\/p>\n
It also revealed that despite having expired over a 40-year period, the original allottees still had not received the promised land.<\/p>\n
