ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government has decided to develop 12 cutting-edge Knowledge Parks across the country.<\/p>\n
The Knowledge Parks will act as Industry-Academia Liaison Centers (IALC).<\/p>\n
The Knowledge Parks will be developed in two stages; the first phase of the project is estimated to cost PKR 939 million.<\/p>\n
In the first phase, the Knowledge Parks will be built in the provincial capitals, Karachi, Quetta, Lahore, and Peshawar, while in Phase 2, the project will further expand to Hyderabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Islamabad Rawalpindi, Muzaffarabad, and Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n\n
According to the details, the project is being funded by the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives and will be carried out by Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).<\/p>\n
It is important to mention the project will enhance the manner in which education is delivered along with establishing interfaces for starting businesses and strengthening collaborations for joint development of new research and products.<\/p>\n
The technology parks will also create a learning opportunity for 6,000 IT undergraduates and individuals who have recently graduated.<\/p>\n
Additionally, with the help of this project, the industry and academics will have the opportunity to enhance the manner that technology education is provided, provide interfaces for starting businesses, and increase partnerships for jointly developing new research and products.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
