ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has planned to launch a 270-kilometer-long Hub-Dureji-Dadu Motorway (M-7) project soon.<\/p>\n
The Hub-Dureji-Dadu Motorway project will connect more cities in Pakistan to the highway network and will be part of the southerly track from Islamabad to Karachi.<\/p>\n
NHA has requested consultancy services for a feasibility study and detailed design of the M-7 Motorway.<\/p>\n
According to Project Concept-1 (PC-1), the motorway will include six service areas and is projected to aid in the reduction of traffic on M-6.<\/p>\n
The project would also be linked to the recently opened 306-kilometer-long Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M-6) inaugurated by Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif.<\/p>\n
The Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway’s final section of the Peshawar-Karachi Motorway will connect Pakistan’s main cities.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that Pakistan is building several south and north-bound highway networks as part of the China-Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC), which will connect China with Gwadar in Balochistan for trade activities.<\/p>\n
