A five-marla duplex would now cost more than Rs. 1.5 million to build.<\/p>\n<p>Besides, the market study indicates that the price of steel climbed from Rs. 0.175 million to Rs. 0.210 million tonnes during the previous 2 months.<\/p>\n<p>As per the details, cement bags now cost Rs. 1,150 instead of Rs. 900, sandbags now cost Rs. 3,600 instead of Rs. 2,700 per trolley, bajri (crush) is now Rs. 4,700 instead of Rs. 4,700 per trolley, and bricks are now Rs. 10,000 instead of Rs. 13,000 per trolley.<\/p>\n<p>While the cost of labor to shutter a five-marla house has also gone up from Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 40,000.
