Peshawar Zalmi PSL 9 Team News

Peshawar’s most high-profile pick in PSL 9 draft was former Islamabad United superstar, Asif Ali, who left the franchise after highly successful 8 seasons. Asif Ali, renowned for his six-hitting ability will be a welcome addition to this Peshawar squad as they have filled a void lower down the order.

Additionally, Peshawar’s bowling attack looks much better this time around with the likes of Salman Irshad, Aamer Jamal. Naveen-ul-Haq, Khurram Shahzad, Noor Ahmad and Mehran Mumtaz in their ranks for the upcoming edition of the tournament.

As usual, Peshawar have a solid top 5 with Babar, Saim, Haris, Haseebullah and West Indies’ T20 captain, Rovman Powell making an exciting batting unit for the Zalmi’s this time around.

Babar Azam will be tasked to lead the side to their first title since PSL 2, with Daren Sammy as the head coach of the side. Peshawar Zalmi match will include home and away fixtures, with Rawalpindi being the home stadium of the franchise.
