Telenor Pakistan has posted Rs. 24.76 billion revenues for second quarter 2013, slightly up by 5 percent when compared with same duration last year.
Revenues from cellular traffic stood at Rs. 18.70 billion, slightly up from 17.25 billion during same duration in 2012.
Telenor group, in its earning report, said that EBITDA margin for group’s Pakistani arm improved by 1 percentage point driven by higher revenues combined with stable operational expenditures.
Report said that operating profit increased due to lower accelerated depreciation following the network modernisation as well as negative other items last year.
Capital expenditure continued to increase as network modernisation progress as scheduled towards completion at the end of 2013.
Telenor said that measures to improve financial efficiency and secure market position will be prioritised going forward.
Telenor once again iterated that increased withholding tax on telecom services from 10% to 15% will impact revenues through reduced customer recharge amount.

Thank you for making me start my day with a hearty laugh. The article headline says “Telenor posts flat revenues for Q2 2013” and the article ONLY talks about growth of 5% in revenues, growth in cellular traffic, improved EBITDA….
Flat revenues equals growth, growth, growth?? You might as well have changed the title to “Telenor posts massive losses in Q2 2013”
With all due respect, somebody needs to go back to school to either learn basic english or attend a basic accounting class. Its a shame that as time passes, propakistani articles keep going down the drain. :(
It was very obvious after ZTE decision completely biased Management team. Telenor is not only suffering because of the power performance of ZTE but also because of baised , friends & family , full of favourtism in the organization. Compliance no more for some value driven but simple tool for line to forced their non-favourite emaployee to reisgn. I always wander how a single leader can trun around a company but now I am convienced because telenor is ruined by 2 or 3 individuals because of their personal goals….
