It is all about mind game. Even I had no investment, it is about the communication skills. I have skills, I can persuade any person. I have 3 best friends, we collected money to buy hosting of 12,000 per year (Ultimate) on Namecheap as well as domains – I persuaded them by telling the benefits of SEO :D.
You can start your business in Pakistan at Rs. 118 easily by buying a domain on Goddady, but I bought a domain 1 year ago on Namecheap at Rs.1000+ then I attached the domain to Blogspot (Google Free Fastest Dedicated Hosting for Top Level Domain – limited features, but perfect if you’re a programmer by a custom domain feature), then started a site, writing SEO optimized articles. Now I have written only 17 articles on that site, but catching 50,000+ impressions per month!
Just Google, Brother! Learn SEO!
SEO is not easy dude. Beside domain and hosting there are other many expenses like backlinking, designing etc etc. It is impossible for one person to posses every skill thus he need to pay for someone to get it done.
And for ranking difficult kwds you need advanced backlinks that cost lot of money.
Strongly disagree! It shows you know nothing about SEO. I know backlinking is important, but not when you target the low competition market like Pakistan. There is no competition in Pakistan when it comes to ranking a website. The site I have that is getting 50,000+ impressions per month, I haven’t made not a single back-link except one Wikipedia. All is the power of social media shares – real ones. If you find low competition keywords, you can rank without a backlink with ease.
If you rank for a highly competitive keyword then you need a lot of back-links in terms of guest posting etc. SEO is extremely easy if you’re taught by a right person. I learned 90% of SEO from Google. The most difficult thing in SEO is Keyword Research – finding the low competition keywords with high volume, and high CPC.

You realize SEO is not the only, nor the easiest way to make money from home right?
It depends on various factors. If you’re taught SEO by a right person, then it’s the easiest way to earn money. If you learn by yourself in a nutshell, then it’s the hardest way – if you’re lucky and genius you can learn SEO. If you want to earn money in a short time, then SEO is not for you. If you have the mind of long term, then SEO is for you because the outcome of SEO takes some time if you don’t have patience to wait, then you will be disappointed and will blame SEO is hard.
Lol, you’re funny. I asked a simple question, not a lecture. The correct answer is no. Not even close. Just because someone taught you a little SEO, doesn’t mean it’s a do all, be all. Your thinking is too confined. Widen your scope. People out there are minting money beyond your wildest expectations without raising a finger.
What if I ask you how do you do Keyword Research for a site? Could you explain the whole process in 3 lines? If you can’t then brother, you have to learn a lot! :D

Just FYI, I also do some content writing part time for the same reason as yours. I have a passion for writing, among other things. But I never got into the nitty gritty of SEO. No need to when you can just hire SEO specialists to do that for you. They provide be with the list of keywords for the month. All I need to do is incorporate them into my pieces and they do the rest to make sure it ranks.
