Telenor to Reduce Energy Use by 50 Percent

Telenor Pakistan has teamed up with Nokia Siemens Networks to implement an energy efficient GSM network that would enable the communication service provider (CSP) to reduce its energy consumption by up to 50 percent, reports Daily Times.

Citing a press release, paper further reports that Nokia Siemens Networks would build the network using its award-winning Flexi Base Stations, which helps to minimize a network’s environmental impact through reducing its carbon emissions.
