PayPal for Pakistan – Campaign on Facebook Enters 2nd Phase with 1689 Members!

Sometime ago, after the pressure was considerably built up for the need of PayPal.com E-Payment services in Pakistan, despite the company ignoring this region purposely while giving service to India and China, I launched a cause page on Facebook titled the “PayPal Authorize Pakistan Now Campaign” at http://apps.facebook.com/causes/266093.

Interestingly, many likeminded Pakistani Knowledge Workers, Freelancers and Webmaster’s have joined the campaign extensively from all across the country and the world. The campaign has grown to 1689 Members believing in the following campaign positions:

1. Pakistan contributes massively to the global Knowledge Economy through Information Technology
2. Pakistan has millions of knowledge workers that require PayPal
3. PayPal authorizes China and India; does it have a grudge against Pakistan?
4. Why can’t Pakistan be authorized even though we have so many Foreign Banks?
5. Companies and Businessmen do not outsource their work to Pakistani Knowledge Workers because we don’t have PayPal Accounts!

Now entering the second phase of this campaign, all 1689 members are being requested to launch the “Write to PayPal to Authorize Pakistan”. The incredible participation for the campaign shows the concern and consensus for the need for PayPal service launch in Pakistan.

All participants of the campaign are now being asked to write to PayPal on an individual basis. If every member of the campaign donates at least 5 minutes from their precious and busy schedules for this cause, it is directed to help our nation and its knowledge workers to contribute productively online to the global markets. If we write at least 2-3 times, the pressure will build-up before we design and enter a global media campaign.
