NADRA Renders Services to Foreign Countries, Gets Rs 254.39m

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) received Rs. 254.39 million from foreign countries in return of its services, reported The News, citing Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

During the question hour session of the Senate, Malik said the authority received Rs. 234.84 million from Nigeria, Kenya, Sudan and Bangladesh for project services rendered during the last five years. He said the amount was utilized in carrying out these activities in those countries and to meet expenses of the authority.

During the period under review, he said, Rs. 19.53 million were received from foreign missions of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan for verification services.

In response to another question, the interior minister said that Rs. 53,562,796 were spent on renovation of the chairman and other offices of NADRA.
