Without mentioning the reason for suspension, the directive said that services should remain suspended in Karachi from 11 AM to 6 PM in the evening.
At least two cellular companies confirmed ProPakistani that they have received the directive from PTA, which said the cellular services will remain suspended in Karachi.
Cellular companies further confirmed that the service closure directive is only for today and for Karachi only.
Sources say that this sudden service closure directive could be because of some imminent terrorism threat, however, nothing has been confirmed till now.
