VAIO’s New Hybrid Laptops Transform Into Tablets

VAIO, the company which split with Sony last year after a long, fruitful partnership has announced its first Windows systems as a sole entity. The VAIO Z and VAIO Z Canvas are hybrids which can transform into a number of usage modes.

The VAIO Z is a flagship-grade “monster PC”. It comes with a 13.3″ touchscreen display with an aluminium carbon chassis. It weighs at 1.34 kg and is 16.8 mm thick. Underneath ,you get either a choice of Intel 5th-generation Core i7 or i5 processors, though, anything else is not known. That’s accompanied with Iris graphics and an SSD which leads to a start-up time of 0.3 seconds from sleep.

The hinge is another major feature, which can flip over to transform the VAIO Z into a tablet, in tent mode or as a laptop simply. The price of the VAIO Z is set at $1600, which is decidedly a lot.
