To applaud the envisioned success 3G and 4G services, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in partnership with Mobile Operators, Internet Society (ISOC) Asia-Pacific Bureau and Samsung Pakistan has launched the “Pakistan Mobile App Awards 2015”.
The awards are inviting individuals from Pakistan to submit innovative mobile applications in 6 different categories, with an overall objective to promote the use of high speed mobile Internet for the benefit of the society.
It will be a platform-neutral contest to ensure equal opportunity, regardless of operating system. Applications can be submitted for Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows Phone. All submissions are subject to pre-defined criteria which includes innovation (no re-use or adaptation of already existing applications), ease of use and impact of the application.
To further recognize the innovation, winners will be offered an opportunity to host their apps on portals of mobile operators and awards website. A panel of judges will evaluate and decide the top three (3) applications, winners will be announced at a ceremony to be organized in late April.
