Ali S. Habib will be serving Indus Motor Company (Toyota Pakistan) as a Chairperson for three more years after the company’s newly appointed Board of Directors approved the extension.
Habib also heads the House of Habib, a cluster of companies with 15,000+ employees, and currently serves as a Board Director in Habib Metropolitan Bank, Metro Habib Cash and Carry Pakistan, Shabbir Tiles and Ceramics Private Limited, Pakistan Business Council, and Thal Private Limited.
Habib, a Mechanical Engineer by profession, was also keenly involved in founding Habib University which offers world-class education and is also on its Board of Governors.
Mr. Ali S. Habib is the Founding Director and the current Chairperson of Indus Motor Company Limited (IMC). IML is a joint venture of the Toyota Motor Corporation, Toyota Tsusho Corporation of Japan, and the House of Habib.
IMC has also appointed Mr. Toshiya as a Vice Chairman and Mr. Ali Asghar as Chief Executive of the company.
IMC Pvt. Ltd. is a manufacturer of Toyota brand vehicles. It covers family cars and commercial vehicles under the name Corolla Altis, Corolla GLi, Prius, Camry, Avanza, Revo, Fortuner, Hilux E, Land Cruiser Prado, and Land Cruiser 200.
The company also manufactures and assembles Daihatsu brand vehicles. Apart from that, Indus Motor Company sells spare-parts, lubricants, and chemicals and also provides after-sales services. It has a wide network of 45 independent sales, service, and spare-parts dealerships and is based in Karachi, Pakistan.
At the time of writing, the company’s shares are trading at PKR 1,715.97, 8.19% up during the past year.
