Hayat Kimya Sanayi A.S to Invest $150 Million in Pakistan

Turkish Conglomerate `Hayat Kimya` has launched its operations in Pakistan. The announcement was made at an event in Pearl Continental in Lahore, where the company showed off its hygiene related products.

The company will set foot in the Pakistani market with two brands, it has been learnt.

It has launched its operations in Pakistan with the introduction of two products:

  • Molfix [baby diapers] from the hygiene category,
  • Papia and Familia [toilet paper, paper towel, facial tissue] from the tissue category.

In a statement released on Monday, Hayat Kimya said it believed that the Pakistani market has huge potential as an emerging market.

Pakistan has a sentimental value for Hayat, because of the historical brotherhood of our countries.

The CEO of Hayat Kimya, Mr. M. A. Kiðýlý has said,

We have great confidence in Pakistan and we believe everyone around the world has a right to access good quality products, We offer the same Hayat quality as in Turkey, to Pakistan.

The company, which is also regarded as the world’s 5th largest branded baby diaper manufacturer and the largest tissue manufacturer in Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa, is bringing its innovative and high-performance products to Pakistan in February. It will continue to invest $150 million in Pakistan in the near future.

Hayat Pakistan General Manager Erdem Dumano’ullar added,

“As Hayat Pakistan, we will do our best to deliver the accumulated experience, high-quality, high-technology products brought by Hayat. We would be pleased to contribute to employment, export and business opportunities in Pakistan.”

Hayat Kimya Sanayi A.S. manufactures home-care, tissue, and hygienic products. The company offers sanitary pads, baby diapers, adult diapers, detergents, tissues, and cellulose and wrapping papers.

The multinational company has nine subsidiaries across the globe, including Pakistan.
