Yahya Khan, Chief Financial Inclusion Officer and Chief Digital Officer of Telenor Microfinance Bank has moved to Bank Alfalah as the Chief Digital and Branchless Banking Officer.
He is one of the emerging professionals in Pakistan, having experience in mobile banking, e-commerce, digitization of economy and innovations in branchless and traditional banking.
Yahya played leading roles in the transformation of Tameer Microfinance Bank into Telenor Microfinance Bank along with the launch of various digital products under the Easypaisa service.

His departure at this critical stage is a blow to Telenor Microfinance Bank as Ali Raiz Chaudhry, the first president and CEO of Telenor Microfinance Bank, also quit the bank to avail opportunities in the UK with 1181118 Money about six months ago.
The new president, Shahid Mustafa, though was the key founding member of Tameer Microfinance Bank, however, Yahya’s move will give a competitive advantage to Bank Alfalah, which is a competitor to Telenor Microfinance Bank.
Previously, Bank Alfalah launched its mobile banking solutions in collaboration with Monet Pvt Ltd, whose CEO, Ali Abbas Sikandar, was the co-chairman of Tameer Microfinance Bank.

Bank Alfalah was also successful in getting the business of EOBI pensioners disbursement service, which used to be managed by Tameer Microfinance Bank before that.
Yayha Khan is likely to further boost Bank Alfalah’s penetration with innovative and digital solutions. His hiring was part of Bank Alfalah’s new CEO and management’s strategy which wanted to revamp the bank’s business policy going forward.
