Pak-US Tech Exchange Program Opens Its Applications For 2019

Pak US Tech Exchange program, powered by Startup Grind and Ejad Labs, has opened its applications for the year 2019.

The program will commence for 10 days from 10th to 20th February 2019 at the Silicon Valley, USA. Pak US Tech Exchange program is Pakistan’s largest and first of its kind independent tech exchange program.

Having started in 2018, the upcoming program is going to be second in the series. The program in 2018 featured 22 entrepreneurs from Pakistan who got an extraordinary hands on learning experience at the Silicon Valley. Like 2018, the 2019 program will provide unparalleled exposure and numerous knowledge sharing, growth and networking opportunities to the entrepreneurs in Pakistan in the heart of the world’s largest technology innovation hub, the Silicon Valley.

Program Timeline and Selection

The program is accepting applications till the 15th of November 2018. After the closure of applications, selection will be conducted till 31st December based on the application form and relevant work experience of the applicant. 100 applicants will be shortlisted and be invited for interviews. From these 100, further 25 will be shortlisted to participate in the program. The shortlisted applicants will go through a 4 week online accelerator from January 1 till 31st.

After the completion of the online accelerator, the participants will go to the Silicon Valley for a 10 days highly immersive and hands on learning experience. The visit to the Silicon Valley will include Interactive seminars, company visits (Google, Facebook, Apple, Uber, Founder Institute, Stanford University and more) hands on projects, networking opportunities, conferences and educational tours. The 10 days visit also includes an entrepreneurship forum, held exclusively for the participants of the program, featuring speakers from the Valley’s top organizations and program partners.

 

Additional Opportunities for the Candidates

In addition to the program associated learning, the selected candidates will also get an opportunity to represent Pakistan at the 7th Annual Startup Grind Global Conference among 5000+ investors, founders and entrepreneurs from around the world.

The conference will also be attended by leading world entrepreneurs such as Reid Hoffman (LinkedIn, Greylock Partners), Cal Henderson (Slack), Guy Kawasaki (Canva) and others.  Moreover, after the conclusion of the program the participants are encouraged to explore opportunities and resources at Ejad Labs for continued growth and learning support.

The potential applicants of the program can be one of the following:

  • Graduate or executive students in the fields of business, engineering, technology, innovation or entrepreneurship.
  • Entrepreneurs, Startup founders, leaders at incubators and accelerators
  • Angel Investors and venture capitalists
  • Government officials.
  • People in the field of technology i.e. running an IT company or having relevant work experience
  • Professionals in the corporate, government or the development sector
  • People having an ability and desire to make an impact in their respective field.
