Cabinet Approves Uninterrupted Gas Supply to Six Export-Oriented Industries

The federal cabinet on Thursday approved uninterrupted gas supply to six export-oriented industrial sectors.

The cabinet met in Islamabad with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair. It approved a summary regarding uninterrupted gas supply to the six important industries in a bid to increase the country’s exports.

The meeting also decided to transfer the affairs of different divisions of the Economic Affairs Division to concerned ministries.

The cabinet approved reconstitution of the Board of Trustees of Karachi Port Trust. It also approved the appointment of KPT chairman.

The forum reviewed the implementation status of the decisions taken by the cabinet in its previous meeting. It was told that 80 percent of the decisions taken at the previous meeting were implemented.

The decisions of the economic coordination committee of the cabinet were also approved. The cabinet okayed signing of an agreement with Canada by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).

It also approved the issuance of a memorial coin of rupees 50 denomination on the occasion of International Anti-corruption Day. The federal cabinet approved a plan to take measures for ensuring the secrecy of official documents.
