UNICEF & KP Govt to Prepare Courses on Water & Hygiene

On Monday, UNICEF and Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP) agreed to work together to prepare courses on the importance of water and sanitation.

The agreement talks about creating a pool of experts, educationists, and clerics who will help in the preparation of the courses; the courses will help create awareness on water, sanitation, and hygiene and will target students and teachers.

This was decided during a meeting chaired by the WSSP Chief Executive Officer Syed Zafar Ali Shah. There were numerous high ranking officials at the meeting including Director Directorate of Curriculum and Teachers Education Gohar Khan, UNICEF representatives Shoaib Khan and Mamona.

During the meeting, it was further decided that both organizations would develop courses that had theoretical and practical components, which will be made part of the curriculum from 1st to 10th grades.
