As the World Cup draws near, former cricketers are weighing in on Pakistan’s squad for the mega event. While some are happy about the squad, others are displeased.
One reason for this dissatisfaction is the exclusion of Mohammad Amir from the squad. The senior member of Pakistan pace attack is currently in England, playing for Pakistan. Head Coach Mickey Arthur and Chief Selector Inzamam ul Haq have said that Amir still has a chance to make it to the mega event.
Spin wizard, Saeed Ajmal has also shared his views on Amir’s absence from the squad.
He is of the view that the selectors have made a mistake and Pakistan needs their senior pacer in the squad at the mega event.
Selectors made a mistake by not picking Amir in the squad of 15 for WC2019. They must have faith in his ability. Though Amir isn’t in form but mega events require experience which Amir proved in CT2017.
