Founder of Sehat Kahani Wins Rolex Award for Enterprise

CEO and Co-Founder of Sehat Kahani, Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram, has been awarded the Rolex Award for Enterprise as Associate LAUREATE for her project Sehat Kahani.

The Rolex Award for Enterprise was announced in an official ceremony on Friday which was attended by Dr. Sara Saeed. It is truly a proud moment for Pakistan that Dr. Saeed has now become the first Pakistani woman in the list of now 150 Laureates.

Dr. Sara Saeed Khurram has created a Tele-medicine delivery system that can potentially work in remote communities around the world. The awarded project Sehat Kahani has 25 e-health clinics across Pakistan serves 95,000 patients. It employs 1,500 female doctors and more than 90 nurses and field health workers. Recently it has included Pakistani female doctors living overseas, making its services available round the clock.

Dr. Sara, in an interview prior to the ceremony, called it a great honor to be awarded the Rolex Awards and plans to expand her network to 100 e-clinics, delivering affordable healthcare to up to 10 million people by 2023. She urged female doctor to devote more time in practice and become part of Sehat Kahani’s workforce.
