Provincial Information and Cultural Minister Syed Sumsam Ali Bukhari has said that the Punjab government has abolished the tax charged on public transport buses.
He revealed that the provincial government has made an amendment in the Finance Bill 2019-20 in this regard. Moreover, it has decided to earmark Rs. 1.5 billion for the relief of the general public.

While talking to the media after a cabinet meeting at Punjab Assembly, he said that Punjab is way ahead in terms of revenue collection across the country. The provincial minister also said that the government is trying hard to overcome the economic crisis by increasing the tax base.
