After a number of price hikes on petroleum products in recent months, the government has decided not to revise the prices for the month of July.
According to a press release by the Ministry of Finance, there will be no change in petroleum prices for this month. The tariffs for June will apply for the month of July throughout the country.
While it’s good news for Pakistanis, it’s expected to be a temporary relief because of the volatility of the US Dollar rates as well as increasing prices for crude oil in the international market.
Earlier, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had recommended a decrease in petrol prices, bringing it down to Rs. 111.91 per liter.
