The federal government is planning to launch the “PM’s Year of the Youth” program to encourage sporting activities among the youth.
The program would be launched under the umbrella of Prime Minister Youth Affairs Program (PMYAP). On the occasion, an official said.
This would include national and international engagement for youth, and according to their accomplishments, they will be rewarded award titled Jawan-e-Maidan.

Under the program, cultural events and carnivals would be arranged in multiple cities to highlight talent in different sports.
The top athletes and the sportsmen will be appreciated at the district and regional levels, he added.
The official maintained that such events will provide a golden opportunity to the youth who want to make a name and career in sports.
