Dean Jones Hints at His Appointment as Pakistan Head Coach

The uncertainty around the coaching staff of Pakistan cricket team is high as the cricketing circles are predicting the results of the hiring process.

Some are of the view that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will opt for local coaches, while others are saying that a foreign coach will win the race yet again.

Dean Jones, who has applied for the post of Head Coach, has hinted at big news coming at the end of the week. What can it be? He asks.

Most of the replies to his tweet also suggest that he is pointing towards the Head Coaching role of Pakistan cricket team.

The tweet certainly suggests that he might well go on to become the next Head Coach. On the other hand, his competitor, Misbah-ul-Haq, has applied for the post by resigning from the Cricket Committee.

The race looks like a see-saw competition between the two and the PCB will have a tough time deciding who to appoint as the Head Coach.

Dean Jones has plenty of professional coaching experience and he has already worked with Pakistani cricketers in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). His team, Islamabad United, has already produced a number of players for the senior team like Asif Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Hussain Talat, Sharjeel Khan, and Shadab Khan.
