India is Blackmailing Sri Lankan Players Against Touring Pakistan

Fawad Chaudhry has unveiled that the cricket fraternity has informed that the Sri Lankan players are refusing to visit Pakistan due to pressure from India regarding their gigs in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

As many as 10 senior Sri Lankan players decided against touring Pakistan for ODI and T20I  series which starts from 27th September in Karachi.

Taking to Twitter, the minister said that India is resorting to cheap tactics of threatening the players, bringing jingoism in sports.

Informed sports commentators told me that India threatened SL players that they ll be ousted from IPL if they don’t refuse Pak visit, this is really cheap tactic, jingoism from sports to space is something we must condemn, really cheap on the part of Indian sports authorities.

Here’s the tweet:

The revelation is actually not that appalling considering that a few of the players who have refused to tour Pakistan, visited the country with the team to play a three-match T20I series in Pakistan. One of the senior-most players who has refused to tour Pakistan this time, Thisara Perera, has already toured Pakistan twice since the 2009 attacks – once with the ICC World XI and once with his national side. He had termed it as a dream come true and loved playing at Lahore.

Chaudhry has been quite active on social media especially since the revocation of Article 370. He continues to bash Indian authorities, whether it’s the attempt to land on the moon, information blackout and atrocities in the Occupied Kashmir and sports, Chaudhry has been giving quite a headache to the Indian media and the war-mongering masses.
