Cricket lovers will have to wait another day or two as the first ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has been abandoned without a ball bowled.
The match would have marked the return of ODI cricket in Pakistan after 10 long years, however, the rain has ruined the series-opener.
The match has been called off without toss as water puddles in National Stadium Karachi let the match officials decide against starting the match. Despite the fact that the cut-off time for the start was 8 pm, the officials believe that game wouldn’t be possible today, which is why they have decided to call it off.
The second ODI of the 3-match series has been scheduled on 29th September. It will be another day/night fixture which will start at 3 PM Pakistan Standard Time.
