Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has passed a directive to finalize special incentives for setting up Special Technology Zones (STZs).
The Premier chaired a meeting, regarding the establishment of Special Technology Zones (STZ) in Pakistan, in Islamabad today.
The meeting was attended by the Advisor to PM on Finance and Revenue, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Special Assistant to PM, Dr. Waqar Masood Khan, Governor State Bank, Dr. Reza Baqir, and senior officials of the government.
The Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s immense potential in the IT sector, which needs to be utilized both for fulfilling the country’s domestic requirements, as well as exporting IT-related products. The Prime Minister said that the Pakistani youth will receive maximum advantages from promoting the neglected IT sector of the country.
The Premier further said that many talented overseas Pakistanis are also interested to invest in the IT sector.
