As the couple was set to receive the second dose on 25 February, they experienced fever and took the Coronavirus test the same day, which came back positive on 28 February.

Health experts have expressed concerns over the development, arguing that three weeks are sufficient to develop immunity after receiving the initial dose of vaccine.

They fear that a significant number of people being vaccinated in the country are at risk of re-exposure to the disease.

On the other hand, the provincial Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department has said that the initial dose of Sinopharm’s vaccine takes at least 14 days to develop antibodies, adding that people should follow all SOPs even after receiving the initial dose.
