Govt Completes Pakistan Pavilion Building for Expo 2020 Dubai

The construction of the Pakistan Pavilion’s building for Expo 2020 Dubai has been completed and handed over to the Government of Pakistan, Adviser to Prime Minister for Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood, announced through his Twitter account on Wednesday.

The building was handed over in a ceremony, which was attended by the Secretary of Ministry of Commerce, M. Suelah, he wrote.

Pakistan’s ambassador to UAE, Afzal Mehmood, Secretary TDAP, Ahsan Mangi, Chief International Participants Officer at Expo 2020 Dubai, Omar Shehadeh, Chief Development Delivery Officer at Expo-2020 Dubai, Ahmed Al-Khatib, and Country Manager for Pak at Expo 2020 Dubai, Ahmed Al Hamdan, attended the occasion.

The adviser also announced that Expo 2020 is scheduled to be held from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, under the theme of “Connecting Minds, Creating Future.”

“Millions of visitors from across the globe are expected to visit Expo-2020,” he wrote. Further adding that the expo will be an excellent opportunity to connect with the world. “Expo-2020 will allows the Pakistani business community access to networking with the international market and investors,” he said.

The Pakistan Pavilion is located in the Opportunity District on a large size plot with a total covered area of 35,000 sq ft. The inner journey of the pavilion is set under the theme ‘Pakistan: The Hidden Treasure’ with an aim to enhance tourism, commerce and investment in Pakistan. The pavilion will take visitors through a timeless journey from the world’s earliest recorded civilizations to the challenges of the new millennium.
