Dolmen Mall Waives Rent of Supermarkets and ATMs

The management of Dolmen Mall Clifton has waived 25 percent rent of supermarkets and ATMs in August for the first time since the lockdown was implemented in Karachi as part of the preventive measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier, the management had given a waiver to retail outlets of various brands in the foods and clothing sections. According to the notification, the decision was taken as Dolmen Mall Clifton was closed from 31 July 2021 to 8 August 2021 in compliance with the directives of the Government of Sindh to contain the spread of COVID-19 across Sindh in the wake of the fourth wave.

The mall remained closed for two safe days in the week, with restricted timings and compliance with COVID-19 SOPs. Dolmen City REIT (DCR) stands fully committed with its tenants and is willing to extend maximum possible support to all of them during the ongoing pandemic, the notification said.

Also, the management will waive 100 percent rentals of the tenants of all food outlets, entertainment, and children playing areas for the month of August 2021. The management will not raise the rent for the month of August 2021.

These measures will provide essential cash flow relief to tenant partners already affected by the closure of business. Further, the management will continue to engage with the tenants and monitor the situation closely.
