Airblue Announces a Huge Reduction in Ticket Prices on Domestic Routes

Airblue is offering the cheapest airfare between Karachi and Islamabad.

In a recent announcement on Twitter, the airline said it had reduced the prices of one-way tickets between the two cities from Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 4,847.

The domestic carrier has also announced the same price for a one-way ticket between Karachi and Lahore.

The new airfares, effective from Saturday, 4 September, have made the travel between these cities cheaper than buses and train tickets prices.

The airline’s business was severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic, and it had been considering ways for revival. However, experts believe that the revised ticket prices will be vital for the airline’s redemption and will boost business by encouraging domestic travel by air.

The private airline is owned by former Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, and has been functional since 2003. Currently, the airline offers flights to 12 domestic and international destinations, including Manchester.
