HMD Global to Launch Nokia G50 and Other Phones on October 6

HMD Global has confirmed a global launch event for October 6 where it plans to launch multiple new Nokia devices. Nokia Mobile confirmed the launch date on Twitter alongside a teaser image that shows a few feature phones and smartphones next to a big retail box, which is likely for a tablet.

If the rumors are to be believed then we might see the Nokia G50 5G and the T20 tablet break cover on October 6.

Nokia G50 5G is expected to feature the Snapdragon 480 SoC and a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD. There will be a 48MP camera on the back and a fingerprint sensor on the side atop the power button. The phone will feature a 4,850 mAh battery, but there is no word on fast charging.

The image above shows the Nokia G50 next to a pair of Nokia TWS earbuds, meaning that the phone will be bundled with the wearables in some markets.

Nokia T20 will reportedly feature a 10.36-inch display with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Its main chipset will be a Unisoc SoC, meaning that it’s going to be a budget tablet at an affordable price. It will boot Android 11 out of the box and will be available in 4G and WiFi-only options.

The T20 will be Nokia’s first tablet since 2015.
