Punjab Govt to Facilitate People Living in Old-Age Homes

Punjab Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Buzdar, directed relevant authorities to provide every possible facility to the people living in old-age homes and ensure that the doctors pay regular visits to the senior citizens living in these homes.

The Chief Minister chaired a meeting in Lahore on Tuesday to review the Social Welfare Department’s performance.

He said that the provincial government has established a special squad for the purpose of launching a crackdown against the begging mafia across the province.

Besides, he said that a community welfare center will be set up for transgenders in Lahore.

Meanwhile, two children homes will be built in Attock and Toba Tek Singh, the Chief Minister added.

The CM also informed that new contemporary art centers will be established to rehabilitate and treat drug addicts.
