Pakistan Meteorological Department (Weather Department) has predicted thunderstorms and rainfall in Karachi today due to an active monsoon system.
According to the latest weather report, cloudy skies cover Karachi, with light to heavy rainfall anticipated across different areas. The current monsoon spell is expected to continue with intermittent breaks until tomorrow.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz indicated that rain is likely throughout the day. The temperature in Karachi is forecasted to reach between 32 to 34 degrees Celsius, accompanied by 75 percent humidity.
On the other hand, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab has predicted that monsoon rains are expected to continue across the province throughout the day. This weather pattern is predicted until tomorrow.
A PDMA spokesperson stated that the province will receive rain along with strong winds and thunderstorms. The areas expected to be impacted include Lahore, Narowal, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Sialkot.
Due to the forecasted weather conditions, PDMA DG Irfan Ali Kathia has directed all relevant agencies to remain vigilant and ready to handle any challenges that may arise from the continuing monsoon rains.
