Punjab Govt Starts Giving Electric and Petrol Bikes to Students

The Punjab government has started providing electric and petrol bikes to students as part of the Chief Minister Youth Initiative. This project aims to enhance student mobility and alleviate daily transportation challenges.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the initiative offers students convenient and cost-effective transportation options.

The government has ensured that bike installment plans are accessible to all students, these bikes are not free for students.

CM Maryam Nawaz stressed the government’s dedication to supporting students, noting that providing bikes will ease their commutes and help them save time and money.

“This project will create convenience for students and ensure savings in their daily lives,” said CM Maryam Nawaz. “The ease of travel and time saved will improve academic performance.”

To support students without parental backing, the initiative has eliminated the requirement for parental guarantees, making it more inclusive.

The Chief Minister also announced plans to shift Punjab towards electric transportation, with solar-powered charging stations to be set up across the province.

The government will provide battery insurance and warranties for electric bikes, ensuring students have a reliable and sustainable mode of transport.

Furthermore, helmets and protective gear will be mandatory for all bike recipients to ensure road safety.
