The Commissioner of Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, has announced the closure of all educational institutes in the city due to the prevailing weather conditions.
As per the notification issued by the Commissioner, all public and private schools will remain closed on Friday, 30th August.
The decision comes in light of the recent empowerment granted to civil authorities across Sindh by the Sindh Education Department.
The department authorized these authorities to announce the closure of educational institutions in response to adverse weather conditions, ensuring the safety of students and staff.
Earlier, the districts of Tando Allahyar, Matiari, and Hyderabad witnessed the closure of schools on Thursday, 29th August, as a precautionary measure against the ongoing unfavorable weather.
Parents and students are advised to stay updated with further notifications from relevant authorities as weather conditions continue to be monitored closely. The Commissioner urged residents to prioritize safety and avoid unnecessary travel during this period.
